Antique 1900 Modified Work Dress
A nice early 1900s work dress, modified to be sleeveless and unbelted. Woven check cotton fabric, asymmetrical front press stud fasten. Pleated along the front and back, leaving heavily faded and darker unfaded sections of the dress. Various patched repairs.
Measurements:
Shoulder end to end: 12”
Arm opening: 8”
Across the bust: 20”
Length down the back: 47”
Condition: Some wear to the fabric throughout as expected for a working garment of this age. Very faded. Darned repairs, some small and large patches, some staining. Sleeves removed at some point, along with the belt, leaving the dress as a sleeveless smock type fit.
